Episode 102: "Bring It On!"[2]

(First aired 1 December 2009)

The 30 contestants arrived at the filming location, the A Famosa Resort, where they were greeted by host Sarimah Ibrahim. They were told that there will be an on-the-spot elimination challenge. The contestants would be paired up into two and face the challenge together, which consists of Shadow Boxing, Quad Thrusts, Skipping & Hurdling a 30 kg sandbag (in which the partner will be utilized). The trainers, Kristy & Dave, then went to a table that had all of the contestants' photos, where they would then chose their team members. They wanted to choose everyone, but they can't. Both of them were interested in a few of the same contestants. After much deliberation and discussion, they went back to the contestants.

Kristy, who wanted a "diverse, dynamic" team chose Delfin, Aisha, Garry, Christine, Desmond, Rashmi, Nadia & Kevin while Dave, who wanted committed & pushing people chose Leonore, David, Marilyn, Tony, Damietta, Aaron, Martha & Hafiz, respectively. The chosen 16 moved to the villa while the other 14 contestants were then sent home. The teams checked out their new villa. Desmond jokingly teaching how to eat bananas to the rest of the contestants was one of the events that happened that night at the villa and they had a good laugh.

The next day, the trainers gave some advice on eating, including [1], which will help the contestants on tracking their calorie input & output. Among the advices were removing the myth that not eating will help in losing weight, as they will need the nutrients for the workouts and frying a chicken isn't good. They were also given their breakfast, which looked "small" to the contestants and there were questions about where's the rest of the breakfast. Goddess commented that it was expensive, but Kristy said that treating cancer and diabetes is even more expensive and it costs 20,000 dollars to treat cancer in some countries.

The contestants then experienced their first workout. Kristy's "Hell On Earth" was notably tiring and grueling for the Red Team. Desmond said that she was "a drill sergeant with a nice ass". Kristy, who yelled and shouted at her team, claimed to the camera that they were slacking at times. At one point, Kristy gathered the team and said that she has trained all sorts of people and that they had the worst performance ever. She wanted to give more, but decided to stop as she felt that they were suffering, but they were reluctant to stop. Then, she told a crying Aisha to lead the team in saying her encouragement words: My body knows how to take care of itself! My body will take care of the pain! Yes! Kristy then tell them that they will get stronger.

Meanwhile, Dave's workout were not as torturous as Kristy's. He made sure that they were committed. He trained each people based on their condition. At one time, Damietta tripped from a pothole and twisted her ankle. She screamed in pain as fellow contestant, Hafiz, a former (he quitted his job to join the program, revealed later that his employer couldn't accommodate his holiday) paramedic helped her and Dave called the medics which led to her being carried into an ambulance to the hospital.

As the teams went back into the villa, the Red Team was told what happened. Rashmi told the camera that this was an advantage to the Red Team and they were excited about it. Desmond, then talked to Kristy privately whether he should stay or not, saying that his heart, is not there, but at home. He also said he felt guilty for being looked up to as a leader, even though he doesn't know how to even take care of himself. Kristy said that she chose him because he's brave and was the centerpiece of the team and that he brings them together. That night, he called someone back home who he calls "baby" about his decision. She said he rather have him home. Desmond knew that he had to think about his decision very carefully.

The next morning, as Dave was discussing about the workout they will have, Damietta came back, walking with a crutch at one side. They told her she was chosen to be in the competition because she was "a fighter".

At the weigh-in night, teams went on the scale to find out their starting weight. The Blue Team had a total of 1,082 kilograms, while the Red Team had a total of 1,088 kilograms. Desmond, who was the last to be weighed, said that he, as the leader, is responsible for the team and that he decided to "pull out" of the game, stating that his heart is not with them as he's going to put them down. The Red Team was notably sad. The teams went back after Desmond walked away via a different path.
